The mechanic tells me there is a leak in the gas tank at the seam in the tank. I have not seen it yet with my own eyes. My mechanic tells me it is a huge job to replace the tank. It's probably a broken vent hose. Fairly common cause of leaks from that spot. The tank is going to be a major pain to work on without a lift.
