Sep 8, 2019 · Finally got to the range. Shot 100 rounds of WB Federal and then 100 of different HST varieties. This was far from rigorous testing, but for me, 147 and 147+p seemed to be a little more accurate than either 124. This was shooting 10 rounds in 10:seconds at a small round target at 7 yards. I think I like the 147+P.

Right now I'm running some Federal HST 147gr. Recently saw an article that most people were thinking 124gr was better, faster, etc. It's hard to find 147 gr range ammo. Practice with any standard pressure ammo will do. So practice with .115 gr, because thats the most common range ammo, & carry 147 is fine. The only problem is practice with standard pressure & carry plus P. Because of the velocity difference.
