I've been there before, but my most recent visit was August 2018. First, kudos to Dallas for convincing people to pay money so that you can try to find a square of grass to put their chair (only of certain size)/blanket (or rent them for $20 each) in August (or pick your month). Second, there was none, zero, security once you we got in the gate.
